Stopped by on way from Los Almos to ABQ after noticing this cool rock from the road. Area has several picnic tables with shade canopy. Paved path walk from parking to the rock makes it easy to get to it. You can’t get close to it since it is guarded by wire net.
Surprise roadside stop. Perfect little stop to stretch the legs and take in the view.
A super cool rock formation where you always get good photos...great place to see the sunset, too
Short walk from parking area. Beautiful view of mountains.
Great little feature. Good parking. Quick spot for a selfie or close-up pix of the rock feature. Highly recommend - and won't take long to enjoy.
A nice stop for a unique Southwest stone formation. A small parking area next to the road is the start of a short path that circles the rock formation. There is a fence around the camel, to keep people off of the hill. Ample photography opportunities, too. They also have put up a map with local points if interest.
Why did i rate it one star ? Because the rock is fenced off. Ok ! I can deal with that. I'll walk up the little mountain.WHAT ? That's fenced off to. Total walk time, 5 minutes. Everything is fenced off
One of out favorite casinos. We enjoy the lounge, always have great entertainment when we go. But it's the Prime Rib special we keep going back for.
Easy to access, nice spot for a short stop and some photos.
I love to visit the Camel Rock! It had just snowed and it was beautiful! There were car accidents and cars that were stranded. We waited it out at Cancel Rock. It was so beautiful! I loved it!
